What Is Food Anthropology?

“What is food anthropology?” “Why would I have interest in that?” “Why is it important?” These are all questions that I am bugged with constantly. For most people who have no knowledge of jobs in the food world other than “chef” or “baker,” something as seemingly complex as food anthropology may boggle your mind. I am here to assure you that it is not as complicated as you may think.

Food anthropology is literally just the study of food and its role in communities throughout history. I like learning about how food can bring together cultures, communities, and people. Food anthropology is a growing field and more people become interested in it every day. If you are interested in learning more about what food anthropology is, please refer to the link below.
